Benefiting from the Condor Joint Industrial Project conducted by IFP, Beicip-Franlab offers a solution to help production department speed up the history matching procedure and improve the quality of the production forecasts.

CondorFlow goes beyond the classic history matching procedure, which tends to iterate manually on uncertain parameters.

CondorFlow enables creating workflows embedding OpenFlow Suite applications or third party software to optimize the geological and simulation model.

Coupled together, EasySense (IFP technology for uncertainties management) and CondorFlow are the complete solution to be used by the Reservoir Engineer to manage uncertainties, match the history, perform production forecast and finally predict economics scenarii.

CondorFlow is the Reservoir Engineer necessary tool.

  • Sort History matching procedures, simulations, data, and never lose the raw data
  • Edit the simultation keyword file through the interface or configure the simulation without keywords in PumaFlow 2010.
  • Launch simulation with PumaFlow or another third party simulator
  • Compare Simulation results with observed data,
  • Modify uncertain parameters identified by EasySense
  • Relaunch a new simulation
  • Compare again with observed data and continue the process
  • Stop when match is obtained

The CondorFlow Assisted History Matching procedure benefits from the results of cutting-edge research carried out by IFP on inversion methods like gradual deformation.

 

Bridging the gap between static and dynamic models

CondorFlow helps identify and adjust the main uncertainty parameters (PVT, KrPc, porosity, permeability, fault transmissibility, variogram range, etc.) that must be modified to produce a satisfying history match. In addition, parameter variations are automatically propagated throughout the workflow to ensure full consistency between the static geological model and the dynamic reservoir model.

 

Open to third party software

The CondorFlow loop easily links up to third party software, allowing you to run your favorite geomodeling software and reservoir simultation algorithm while at the same time benefiting from CondorFlow technology.
